I love to help couples to identify and then fulfil their vision.

Are there cultural or spiritual inclusions that are meaningful to you? Let’s include them as part of your ceremony. There are lots of examples of how we can do this in the Marriage Resource Kit I send you once you book me, or inspire me with your ideas.

Every marriage ceremony I craft is individual, it’s all about you. My style is fun and relaxed yet meaningful in the right places. Writing your story and sharing it with your family and friends is one of my favourite parts of every wedding.

In Australia there are only 5 mandatory inclusions in a celebrant led wedding ceremony. Everything else is all about you.

Marriage Is Marriage, Love Is Love

I’m happy to say that I no longer perform Opposite Sex marriage or Same Sex marriage! I just do marriage … joyous besotted in love marriage … between two people who love each other and want to be together forever.
Since the introduction of Marriage Equality in 2017 it has been my great joy to legally marry many same sex couples who had been married in their hearts, often for quite some time.

Cheryl married us at Clovelly. It was a beautiful day made even more meaningful due to Cheryl’s personalised ceremony. She was great, very accommodating and personalised the whole service . Everyone commented on just how beautiful the ceremony was which was thanks to Cheryl. Would happily recommend her, particularly for same sex couples like us. Thank you Cheryl!

Newcastle Marriage Celebrant

As a Newcastle based Marriage Celebrant I’ll give you ideas for the perfect ceremony location for you if you need inspiration. Outdoor ceremonies are lovely but they can have their challenges. (A great Plan B is a must)

On the day, I arrive early to make sure that every detail of the ceremony is managed and that the atmosphere is as relaxed as possible. I will be there to greet the wedding party as they arrive and help calm those pre-wedding jitters.

My attention to detail and focus is key so that your day is perfect for you.

Quality of Sound

The quality of sound during your ceremony is so important. My PA system is state of the art so that everyone can hear the ceremony clearly. Your selection of recorded music can also be streamed through my PA if you are not using live music.

Of course, you want the best images to record this very special event. I will liaise with your photographer and videographer to ensure that they get the images of the ceremony that are important to you and during the rehearsal we’ll discuss those special moments.

The legal registration of the marriage with Births, Deaths and Marriages is my responsibility, and I’ll make sure that it all happens seamlessly. I can also order your official marriage certificate, which you’ll need to change your name on documents, if requested.
